On-line Technical Journals Note Recent YTCA Advancements
YTCA's promising new work in the area of ecology-friendly polymers and composites has been recognized in a recent article at the industry website Wardsauto.com. The article specifically discusses recent progress in polypropylene-based composites with natural kenaf fiber fillers targeted for automotive applications. This and other eco-friendly polymer R&D at YTCA was presented in October at the SAE Convergence® 2008 conference in Detroit, MI.

Also, YTCA's development of carbon nanotube-based gas sensor technology was acknowledged in a recent article at Smalltimes.com. The basic principles and design of ionization-type CNT sensors for sensing NOX and other gases are discussed. This R&D work was presented earlier in 2008 at the Sensors Expo & Conference (June 9-11, 2008, Rosemont, IL) and at the Materials Research Society spring meeting (March 24-28, 2008, San Francisco).
