Mr. Hideki Watanabe
Chairman
Mr. Hideki Watanabe joined Yazaki Corporation in May 2016 as Technical Advisor to the Automotive R&D Division. Prior to joining Yazaki, Mr. Watanabe was with Toyota Motor Corporation for thirty-five years. During his career at Toyota, he held multiple leadership positions including Chief Engineer for Land Cruiser supervising all departments from Product Planning to Development, and as vehicle Chief Engineer for Lexus LS. He was also responsible for the Global Lexus Brand management.
In June 2016, Mr. Watanabe was appointed Managing Executive Officer of Yazaki Corporation, and Deputy General Manager of R&D Division, while Division Manager of In-Vehicle Systems R&D Center. In January 2021, he was appointed General Manager of Yazaki Research and Technology Center and Chairman of YTC America Inc.
