Mr. Douglas Meyers
Associate R&D Director
Doug joined YTCA in 1993 and has served in a variety of roles within the company over the years. Initially working as a research staff member on projects related to sol-gel chemistry and polymer composites, Doug transitioned into R&D management, overseeing projects on eco-friendly composite materials, aluminum alloys & metal matrix composites, and recycled copper busbars. Doug also served as manager of Analytical Services for several years, and as the lead Safety Officer of the company. He also currently manages YTCA’s Intellectual Property-related activities, while assisting Stefan in directing of all R&D projects.
Prior to joining YTCA, Doug worked for several years as a materials engineer in the aerospace industry at Curtiss Wright Corporation. He received a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in the same discipline from University of California, Los Angeles.
