Polymer Eco-Filler Composite Materials

Development of Carbon-Negative Polymers

As a response to climate change, Yazaki’s social responsibility, and stricter regulations demanding a circular economy and lower green-house emissions, we are developing carbon negative, recyclable polymers with the goal to displace carbon-positive commodity polymers from fossil fuel which are currently prevalent in the automotive industry.

Highlights
  • Use of raw materials from biomass
  • Scalable process
  • Material properties competitive with or exceeding those of commodity polymers
  • Fully recyclable
  • Carbon-negative material
  • Certification by LCA
  • Carbon-negative products
  • Access to markets with restrictive regulations
  • Licensing of formulations
  • Social responsibility
2030 EU Sustainable Development Goals
  • Circular Economy (100% Recycling)
  • Carbon-Negativity (Use of Renewable Energy and Resources)
  • Traceability of Parts (Zero Waste)
